The current round of pilot project applications is currently closed.

Full applications are due October 7, 2016 at 5:00 pm.

The CTEHR PPP is extending the LOI submission deadline by one week. Please submit your LOI (1 page outline) and NIH biosketch by 5:00 pm on September 7, 2016 for review. Applicants will be contacted regarding the responsiveness of proposed project and full application details by September 14th.

The Center for Translational Environmental Health Research (CTEHR) Pilot Project Program (PPP) is soliciting applications for Pilot Project proposals in anticipation of funding 5-6 projects up to $50,000, based on $25,000 CTEHR support and potential matching funds from the applicants’ College or Department.

The major objective for this round of pilot projects is to provide financial support for applications with strong environmental health significance and the potential to obtain RO1/R21 NIEHS funding within 2 to 3 years. Submission of proposals aligned with the Center’s mission and thematic focus areas impacting human environmental health (i.e. early life exposures, the microbiome, chronic disease, metabolism, and enabling technologies) are encouraged. Applicants must submit a letter of intent (LOI), which briefly outlines the project (1 page limit) by 5:00 pm on September 7, 2016. Invitations for full proposals will be sent to applicants by September 14, 2016. All proposals will be reviewed and scored externally via members of the P30 Pilot Grant Reviewer Consortium. It is anticipated that funding decisions will be made in November 2016.
