Dear CTEHR Members,

The Center for Translational Environmental Health Research (CTEHR) Pilot Project Program is soliciting applications for Pilot Project proposals in anticipation of funding 3-4 projects for up to $50,000 each, based on $25,000 CTEHR support and matching funds from the applicants’ College or Department.

The major objective for this round of Pilot Projects is to provide financial support for applications with strong environmental health significance, and the potential to obtain R01/R21 NIEHS finding within 2 to 3 years. Submissions of proposals focused on population-based studies, the microbiome, engineering solutions to environmental health problems, and the basic environmental health research are encouraged.

Applicants must submit a letter of intent, which briefly outlines the project (1 page limit) by August 25, 2014. All proposals will be reviewed and scored by an external review. It is anticipated that funding will be made by November 2014.

The complete applications should be send to with CC to
