Microscopy is essential infrastructure in EHS research. Rapidly-paced technological innovations in microscopy are driven by the need to study increasingly complex biomedical and materials sciences problems at high spatial and temporal resolution, and at increased speeds. The AIFC plays an integral role in supporting the CTEHR mission of integrating advances in basic, biomedical and engineering research to promote translation of these advances from bench-to-bedside-to-community to improve human environmental health. The Core provides CTEHR investigators with access to state-of-the-art imaging technologies that can be used to visualize and quantify the adverse effects of xenobiotics in a mechanistic framework. These technologies will be exploited to test the novel hypotheses generated by CTEHR investigators.
